Alara Reborn
Alara Reborn is already being talked about, but not because of what cards are in it and what impact it will have on various metagames, but because it is being released extremely quick! The release date is set for April 30th. That's ridiculous. Thats only about a month and a half after Conflux. Didn't sets used to be about 3-4 months apart from each other? And, on top of it all, Magic 2010 is being released in July, only 2 1/2 months after Alara Reborn. Something is wrong here. I'm not complaining, I'm just stating the fact that somebody at Wizards is screwing up. They must be in need of money in the worst way.

I'm hoping that the next block after Magic 2010 is released comes out about November. We need a break! Too many cards at one time makes for too much information to handle!

They must need money at Wizards. I am actually kind of glad the Reborn set hits that soon it seems like most people already have most of the Conflux cards they need and I really don't want to buy back 100's of Conflux packs from everyone or put too many Reborn packs on hold for people yet.

Correction: 2 1/2 months after conflux. Still, 2 1/2 months in between sets is still kinda ridiculous. They're going to chase players away just like Yu-Gi-Oh did.

Ever since they threw Coldsnap in the middle of 2006 they seem to really like to force a extra set a year down our throats and I am pretty sure it is because of the extra revenue they generate especially from prerelease and release events and sales the first couple weeks when the sets hit. It's all about the all-mighty dollar I'm afraid.
