Alara Reborn Top 10
Alright, It's that time again. What are the top 10 cards from Alara Reborn? Keep in mind this top 10 should reflect the card's usefullness in Standard only! Here are my picks.

        10) Maelstrom Pulse

While explosive as a removal spell it's still no Vindicate, especially in the sense that it doesn't hit land, which was a huge factor in Vindicate's versatility. That being said, it will still find it's way into many a Standard deck.

        9) Spellbreaker Behemoth

4 for a 5/5 that's uncounterable? How can you not like that? This will give control decks fits as long as it's legal in the format.

        8) Sen Triplets

This is darn near a 'win more' card, but its still an absolute house in Standard for control decks. Especially when you realize that this even prevents people from using activated abilities of LANDS!

        7) Esper Stormblade

Easily my favorite of the cycle, the flying ability and artifact status make it viable for any artifact heavy deck. This guy on turn 2 must be dealt with almost immediately or he could easily shave off 6-9 points of damage.

        6) Soul Manipulation

This is an underdog in my opinion. Remove Soul is already popular in decks that run both U and B, so this is a natural fit. It's also a classic 2 for 1 card!

        5) Bloodbraid Elf

I personally don't think this guy is as tits as everyone is making it out to be, but you can't ignore the amount of attention it's getting. This guy will see play in a top 8 Standard decklist near you.

        4) The Borderposts

I still think these are highly underrated. Artifact decks will love the interaction with Etherium Sculpter!

        3) Terminate

It was played back then, it will be played now. Alot!

        2) Quasili Pridemage

A Watchwolf with a relevant ability and it can pump somebody else? Redonk!

        1) Wall of Denial

Yep, a wall is my number 1 pick out of the set! This wall changes the game soooo much. It stops damn near any creature coming at it, can't be spot removed, and it flies. I can see decks using a Wrath just to get rid of ONE of these walls.

There you have it! There were other cards I wanted to include, but there's only 10 slots open so cuts had to be made. Other cards considered for the top 10 were Ardent Plea, Behemoth Sledge, Dauntless Escort, Jenara, and Mycaloid Shepherd.

I agree with a lot of your picks except the Borderposts. I would pick Jenara, Meddling Mage, Dauntless Escort, Thought Hemorrhage or even Behemoth Sledge over the Borderposts. It's kind of hard to narrow it down to ten!

This set is amazing. So its kind of hard to narrow it down like Martin said.

I think a Blue white control deck is now very viable.

         My Top 10:
         1. Bloodbraid Elf
Who in the hell doesn't like free spells? Honestly, who?
         2. Maelstrom Pulse
Awesome Main Deck way to deal with planeswalkers and tough to deal with enchantments and artifacts. Tokens players crap themselves when they see this card.
         3. Anathemancer
It's about time something started making the format a little more basic-oriented. I can see this guy dealing 10+ damage a game in the current format.
         4. Qasali Pridemage
Watchwolf plus Viridian Zealot = must play if running G/W deck.
         5. Dauntless Escort
Maybe tokens can stick around for a little bit longer? Dark Bant is now Wrath-proof.
         6. Thought Hemorrhage
         F*** Reveillark
         7. Terminate
Who doesn't like great spot removal?
         8. Wall of Denial
Control decks just got a new best friend.
         9. Bituminous Blast
Kill a creature and get a free anything? I like.
         10. Spellbreaker Behemoth
Big badass, uncounterable, and makes other big guys uncounterable. Whats not to like?

LSV's top 8:(not in any order)
         Bituminous Blast
         Anathemancer
         Maelstrom Pulse
         Zealous Persecution
         Borderposts
         Bloodbraid Elf
         Qasali Pridemage
         Dauntless Escort

LSV actually said himself that Bloodbraid Elf is the best card out of Alara Reborn. Heres the link.

He said it was the best card, and then talked about how awesome it is to cascade into an Esper Charm or Volcanic Fallout. Fallout...okay...i guess that's pretty sweet. But Esper Charm?!?!?! Is 5 color ontrol going to start playing this guy? We're making 5-color decks now just to abuse Bloodbraid Elf?

Uh, yes. I have done it the last two tournaments, and aside from the fact that I was 3-2 in the last tournament, I should have gone 4-1, but I made bad mulliganing mistakes. The only deck I've really lost to so far is Christian's U/W Tokens.
