Probably only one Legacy per month, the 8 people (well 9 including me) we had last time doesn't really inspire me enough to have Legacy like every other week.

         One per month sounds good.

With my discount it was more like $27:) Looks like you have been winning quite a bit Mike as your rating is getting kinda up there.

Being able to raise his rating more than 2 points off a win probably helps :/

Not really more than a friday at the horse. I think its an 8k event, and I didn't play anyone with a better rating. Christain and I are tied on total DCI, so beating him could give me a few more points.

It should be a 16K event, I believe only FNM and Prerelease events are 8K. I think all the Saturday sanctioned Legacy's and such that I ever did at the Horse were 16K rated. Still you won't gain 50 points but maybe 20. We will see come Wednesday which I think is the only day they update the points.

I just looked up my DCI and you guys are 1 point ahead of me! But more importantly we are all above Jerehmiah who once at a rare draft said I would never have more than him.... And maybe that is true, as he has lost his points to sink below me and not vice versa, but none the less. Also I am 3rd in the area in limited by a measly 8 points, so that is also cool. If I could just play more than 3 times a month!

Look up the ratings and the people of springfield mo. Christian and myself dont even break the top ten. Zack, you would be tied for 33rd place! The compitition is intense down here, with 5 people above 1900 in rating. It is nice to play vs so many high rated people so often! I feel as though I have learned a ton ever sense I moved here.

One last thing, I have to comment about something to someone. Matt, we dont see eye to eye, and we never will. Even though I disagree with you on a personal level, I respect your ability as a magic player. But dont ever kid yourself about jerimiah. He is 3 times the magic player that either one of us ever will be. He has top 8 preformances in ptqs, states, regionals, among other great preformances. Can you say any of that? I know that I cant. If jerimiah has lost ratings points, there is probably a good reason for it. You play in a local environment, wheras jerimiah plays ( or played? ) across several states. There simply is no comparison between the two of you. And I mean no disrespect when I say that, as I dont compare to him either! Period!

I agree, and I think that is what I said when I wrote "He has lost the points to sink below me and not vice versa"

and of course I have never played in any big tournaments....

Jeremiah is good, but not like rediculously good. If anything, he lost that title when he stopped playing regularly.

I always thought Jeremiah was better than just good but it really matters how much time you can devout to the game of Magic. No offense to Mike or Zack or Christian but all 3 of you play at least 2 or 3 times every week and you are above average players and you keep getting better and higher DCI point totals the more you play.

I'm not sure how we could be offended by that.

Rick does play at metagames. Not all of the time, but he does occasionally play. And I wasnt offended by your comments, martin. And I agree with zack in asking how could we have been offended? I can honestly say, however, that the more people that you play, the better that you get. I loved my time at the horse, in my oppinion, it was the almost perfect store. Good prices, varience in tournaments ( more than just standard!!! ), and regularly scheduled special events ( all rare drafts, box tourneys ). The only thing that the horse lacked was the varience of competition. There are good players that play at the horse, but at an FNM you might draw 8-13 people. It is hard to improve when you face the same competition over and over agian. That is the one thing that is an abundance down here. I have played vs. three pros regularly sense I have moved here, not counting rick stout. I feel like my ability as a magic player has almost doubled sense moving here.

Yep part of my point was the more you are able to play the better you will get at the game and yes playing different people of variant skill levels often will help to improve your playing skills as well.

The tourney where I beat christain didn't go in yet, so he jumped ahead of me.
